Stipends

Tour leaders may opt to receive stipends for participants not counted towards free travel. Below is an example of trips that are priced on one free trip for every six full-paying participants.

Free trip ratios are usually designed for you to have one free trip for every six paying participants. But because we are a custom tour operator, we can adapt to your particular needs.

For example, if you are leading a group of adults — who certainly don’t require supervision — there’s no reason to include free trips for chaperones. Instead, you can opt to remove the free trip and receive a stipend instead. Or, to reduce costs for your participants, you may opt out of additional free trips and stipends altogether.

We’ll work out the details with you when we prepare your custom quote. Contact us or use our Design A Tour tools to get started.
