Days 1 & 2 – USA - Sydney

Fly to Australia, crossing the International Date Line.

Day 3 – Sydney

G’day! Welcome to the Olympic city of Sydney, capital of New South Wales and the oldest and largest city in Australia. Your courier will meet you at the airport and accompany you to your four-star hotel.

Day 4 – Sydney

On today’s guided Sydney City Tour, visit Macquarie Street and Queens Square to see Sydney’s important public buildings. Tour the historic Rocks area, birthplace of British settlement, where convict labor constructions are still visible. Also see Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair, The Gap, Watson’s Bay and other highlights. Magnificent Sydney Harbour is always best seen from the water. Come aboard a leisurely Luncheon Cruise and sail from Circular Quay past the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, Fort Denison and many of Sydney’s important sites, while enjoying a delicious lunch that includes fresh local seafood.

Day 5 – Sydney

Tour the Koala and Wildlife Sanctuary to see over 500 animals and birds in their natural surroundings including koalas, wallabies and wombats. You can feed and touch kangaroos and wallabies in a special “walkabout” area. Then follow the trail of Australia’s early explorers into spectacular Blue Mountains National Park, where a blue haze hangs over miles of eucalyptus forest. Discover giant rock formations, geological history, and cascading waterfalls flanked by gum trees in this World Heritage region. Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Solitary, the Ruined Castle and the world famous rock formation “The Three Sisters” in the Jamison Valley, a site with a poignant Aboriginal dreamtime story.

Day 6 – Sydney

Today is free to explore Sydney at leisure. Tour the Opera House, shop in the fashion boutiques of Double Bay, or sun on the sands of Bondi Beach. Explore Sydney’s world class stunning museums and art exhibitions or visit the world famous Taronga Zoo.

Day 7 – Depart/or Cairns Extension

Fly home from Sydney today, or board a flight to Cairns, a vibrant, colorful jewel of a city set on the coast of Tropical North Queensland.

Day 8 – Cairns

Today’s destination is the unique wilderness of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. A marine biologist will conduct informative lectures on marine life during the day. You will find an area of extraordinary beauty; an amazing underwater world filled with color and variety. After a buffet lunch, you may swim, snorkel, or ride in a submersible coral viewer through clear tropical waters.

Day 9 – Cairns - USA

Transfer to the airport and board your flight home, filled with incredible memories.
